CrewCross Privacy Policy

CrewCross (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by BigtimeSolutions, provides an invite-only airport presence app for aviation crew. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: display name, email address, and password (password is handled by Firebase Authentication).
• Invite / crew network: invite codes and accepted crew connections.
• Airport presence: the airport code you are checked into (manually or by auto-detect), arrival time, and whether you are sharing presence.
• Location: device location used to detect nearby airports when you enable auto-detect / background location. We use this to update your airport presence, not to publish a live map trail.
• Push notification token: an FCM/APNs device token so we can send crew-cross alerts and service messages.
• In-app alerts / feedback: alert history and any feedback you submit.

2. How we use information

• To create and manage your account.
• To show airport presence only to accepted crew members, under your sharing settings.
• To send push notifications when you and a crew member are at the same airport, or for important service messages.
• To operate, secure, and improve CrewCross, including troubleshooting and support.

3. How sharing works

CrewCross is invite-only. Other users cannot browse invite codes. Airport presence is visible to accepted crew connections when you have sharing enabled and an airport set. Friends who are not at the same airport do not get your airport code as a public feed.

4. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the app, including Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Cloud Functions) and Apple push delivery on iOS. These providers process data on our behalf to operate CrewCross.

5. Data retention

We retain account and presence data while your account is active. If you delete your account in Settings, we remove your account data and related crew links from our systems, subject to short-term backups and legal requirements.

6. Your choices

• Turn off airport sharing in Settings.
• Turn off auto-detect / limit location permission in device settings.
• Disable notifications in device settings.
• Delete your account in Settings → Delete account.

7. Children’s privacy

CrewCross is intended for aviation professionals and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (including encrypted transport and authenticated access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of CrewCross after an update means you accept the revised policy.
